What is a steering rack?
The steering rack is with the track rod end connected to the driving wheels of a car. The
tie rod ends are in turn connected to the
side rods.
When your car is equipped with
power steering, the car parts mentioned above are fed a special liquid from the
PAS pump.
The
steering parts are on one side connected to the suspension of the car and on the other to the steering rack so that the rotating movement of the steering wheel can be transmitted to the wheels. In the end, the steering of a vehicle takes place via the
steering rack. The latter can start to wear which will feel to the driver as difficult points when moving the wheel.
