What is a distributor cap
The distributor cap consists of a glowing mechanism, depending on the type of engine or a distribution mechanism that spreads the high voltage tension from the ignition coil evenly over several openings. This distribution system is called the rotor.
The exit points on the distributor cap are also fixing points for the ignition leads, which in turn transport the high tension voltage to the spark plugs
