What is the air conditioner compressor?
The heater and ac parts of a car are often confused even though they are both quite different. The heater blows hot air into the cabin whereas the air conditioning ensures the circulation of cold air.
The ac compressor is necessary for the production of cold air. As such, it has several functions including supplying power to the air conditioning as a whole, pressurising air and circulating heated refrigerated vapour.
An auto air con works by means of air conditioning gas that is first heated and then pressurised. The condenser transforms the gas into a liquid. The process of creating liquid out of gas creates heat. The condenser allows the heat to escape.
