What are gas struts for?
Gas struts or
gas springs are most common at the rear to keep the boot of the car open. Gas struts can however be fixed to the bonnet as well. Especially stationwagons will have gas struts to keep the hood open as well. As opposed to
boot struts,
bonnet gas struts have more extension space. Fixing your
gas struts is quite simple. At both ends you’ll find clips to the heads with which the struts can easily be fixed to the bonnet of the car.
